Week of February 24

Fourth grade read the story, "The Life of Ants" in reading class. They also researched wants and created slide presentations on the different jobs wants perform, their habitats and included fun facts. Now, in science class, they are observing harvester ants in a simulated environment in the classroom. Students are going to journal their observations over the next few weeks.

Week of February 18th

This week HCA celebrated Random Acts of Kindness Week! Fourth Grade selected Nursery 2 to demonstrate kindness to.  Fourth Grade read stories and spent time with the Nursery 2 Class.

Third Grade showed kindness to the Fourth Grade by making personalized book marks and giving our class pets a soft, cozy bed and yummy timothy hay treats! Newton, Einstein, CeCe and GiGi had the best day ever! Thank you Third Grade!

Week of February 10th

Friendship is in the air!!!! Happy Valentine's Day!
Fourth Grade enjoyed an extra special Community Time!

We had fun at the basketball pep rally!

In math, students made predictions, recorded results and turned candy conversation hearts into fractions! What a busy math class!

Fourth Grade enjoyed a fun morning during Parent Visitation!
Students made Oobleck, a strange type of matter that defies Newton's Law of Viscosity!
