Week of January 27th

Fractions! Fractions! Fractions!

What better way to learn about fractions than to eat them! This week students cut poptarts into fractions and made their own pizzas recording the toppings in fractions! Yum!

We also welcomed CeCe and GiGi our new guinea pig friends! Thanks to Emily they are nice and cozy in their new bed!

During community time, we played quizno and danced to the beat!

Week of January 21st

We had an exciting week in 4th grade. In science this week, we talked about friction. We did a balloon experiment, "ice skated" using friction and wax paper, and invited first graders to join us for a cup stacking contest!

In math, we used magnetic fraction strips to compare equivalent fractions!
